Frequently Asked Questions
Our proven system will work with any kind or any brand of barbecue. We will clean built-in barbecues, roll-away propane barbecues, charcoal or wood burning barbecues, and even smokers. Regarding brands, we clean all the high end brands such as Twin Eagles, Fire Magic, Lynx, Viking, and DCS as well as the lower end Home Depot and Lowes models.
At Bar-B-Clean we use a steam clean process that will sterilize your barbecue and leave it completely clean to the touch inside and out. We will remove all components and clean them individually. We will clean and service the burners, which consists of unclogging the holes to ensure your barbecue cooks evenly throughout. Once the entire bowl as well as the hood has been cleaned, we will place the components back inside. We finish by polishing the exterior with our own proprietary branded Stainless Steel Polish and Protectant.
At Bar-B-Clean, we know that barbecues are expensive, but they are definitely built to last…..as long as they are maintained. After months and years of use, grease drippings and burnt food can build up on the components that you are unable to see below the grates. That buildup will eventually ruin the components making replacement necessary. If the grates go neglected, there is a greater likelihood that they rust and nobody wants to eat food cooked on rust grates.
Our cleaning system uses a steamer, not a pressure washer. A standard barbecue will take about 2 ½ liters of water to clean with half of it evaporating and the remainder drops down into the drip pan and we vacuum it out when we are done. We will use drop cloths around the area, but they typically stay clean.
Yes, we have relationships with parts distributors that carry parts for nearly all brands and models. We will consult and make recommendations so you can make an educated decision on replacing parts. We can drop ship the parts to you or come back and replace them for you.
Using our efficient cleaning process, we will be introducing you to your clean barbecue in 2 ½ to 3 ½ hours depending on its size.
At Bar-B-Clean, we have customers that have their barbecue cleaned quarterly, twice a year, and yearly. The frequency depends on how often it is used. If you live in a colder climate and pack away your barbecue for the winter, we recommend having it cleaned prior to packing it up. A barbecue can double as a warm buffet for rats and other rodents if it not being used.
Our operators will be happy to come out to your home and offer a consultation on whether or not to replace it. If a cleaning is viable, we will get it done on the spot, if not we can help you with replacement.
At Bar-B-Clean, our operators have all been thoroughly trained on all aspects of running a successful business including customer service, follow up, making the customer feel special, and of course our efficient cleaning process.
There is nothing you need to do to prepare for our appointment. Upon arrival, we will ask for you to introduce our technician to the barbecue and let us know of any concerns you may have with its appearance or functionality.
Our recommendation is to brush the top of the grates after every use. After 5 or 6 uses, turn the grates over and brush the bottom side. Then give Bar-B-Clean a call for your periodic cleanings.
At Bar-B-Clean, our friendly technicians offer top notch customer service to our clients. First off, you will receive a reminder email 24 hours prior to you appointment. Our technician will arrive promptly to provide the cleaning and will be excited to introduce you to your newly cleaned barbecue when we are done.
